Welcome to Aquatots Level 1 Swimming Course!
Well, Hello There!
I’m Dillon the Duckling, and I’m so thrilled you popped by.
Just like you, I’m a baby, and I’m splashing with excitement about our very first swims. Together, we’re about to embark on a journey into the wonderful world of swimming, and I can’t wait to introduce you to all of my friends who will teach you so many fun and important skills.
Let me tell you a little bit more about what’s in store...
Level 1 Ducklings Overview
- In Level 1, we’ll dive right in and start learning how to be safe and confident in the water.
We’ll begin by showing you how to enter and exit the pool safely. Then, we’ll teach your baby some simple lifesaving skills like holding onto the side of the pool with our "Swim and Hold On" skill and floating on their back with the "Back float" skill.
These are really important skills because they help keep your baby safe while having fun in the water! - Next, we’ll gently prepare your baby for their first submersion using our special "Aquatub".
Don’t worry, we’ll be with you every step of the way, and your teacher might even give you some fun homework to practice at home! And the best part? Each class ends with a splashing good time during "Playtime," where we all sing songs and enjoy the water together.
What We’ll Learn: The Serious Bits for Mums & Dads
Creating a positive first experience with water is crucial for your baby, and at Aquatots, we make sure that happens in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Our warm, private pools (many of them hydrotherapy pools) are designed to make the experience enjoyable for both you and your little one.
We introduce new skills gradually, using fun methods, word association, and repetition, so your baby quickly becomes comfortable with short swims and submersions. Regular play breaks help enhance learning, and by the end of the term, you’ll be amazed at what your little duckling can achieve—all with your support, of course!
Underwater Photos Now, here’s something extra special!
At Aquatots, we offer unique underwater photos taken during your class by your teacher. No need to worry about outside photographers or unsettling your baby - everything is done by someone your baby already knows and trusts. Learn more about Dillon's photo day.
End of Term
We love to celebrate your little one’s efforts throughout their swim journey, as we know how important it is to recognise and encourage their ongoing success in the water. At the end of each level, your little one will be awarded a lovely certificate. You can even start the journey of collecting badges as they progress up the levels.
