Could this be the ideal part time job for you?

Looking after swimmers and parents at the poolside?  Seeing happy little faces like these each week? Who wouldn't want a job like that?

If you swim at a pool with one of our lovely Pool Assistants, then you know how helpful they can be. Present at some of our pools for your comfort and convenience, Pool Assistants are required if the pool is busy due to a pool share arrangement or has other special considerations.  For example, if the site requires helping swimmers to get to and from the pool, as well as ensure all facilities are comfortable and safe at all times. So remember, if there is a Pool Assistant at your pool, don’t hesitate to let them know if you need anything.

There are many benefits to being a Aquatots Pool Assistant, not only is it a enjoyable role, dealing directly with parents, but it offers convenience and hours that fit around other commitments, such as children at school, other part time roles or even studying.  We have students working as Pool Assistants as well as retirees!!

Here are two of our very popular pool assistants that many of you will have come accross

Meet Gina at Cheam

Gina has been assisting at our Cheam pool on a Monday since 2009.  Gina enjoys her role
as part of a healthy, busy lifestyle.  Gina says that......

“I became a Pool Assistant after watching my Grandson swim at the Cheam pool. I loved seeing the babies & children enjoying themselves so much I wanted to get involved & was asked if I would like to take on the job of Pool Assistant. I look forward to seeing my swimmers and parent/carers each week and get great satisfaction from seeing them all progress.

In my spare time I enjoy taking my Grandchildren Mia & Cass on outings after school & in the holidays, I keep myself busy gardening & meeting up with friends. I prefer to keep active & healthy.”

 Meet Jess at Worcester Park

Jess has worked at Worcester Park since March 2014 and tells us

I am 16 years old and have been working with Aquatots for just over a year now and it is great to see so many kids achieving and succeeding. I work at Sports Direct on Thursdays and Saturdays and Aquatots on Sunday's when I am not attending 6th form at Glyn school in Epsom. One of the best parts about working for Aquatots is the friendly working environment, the parents, children and teachers are all lovely, creating a good atmosphere at the pool!

Being part of the friendly Aquatots team means that you can get involved in other great opportunities too, so there are many ways to earn extra money. For example, Gina jumped at the chance to help out at the Purley Festival last year, where she helped man a stall and talked to prospective swimmers about Aquatots, the programme and what a positive experience it is.  All those hours pool side meant that she really knew her stuff and was able to impart how magical it is to parents, which was a great help on the day.

If you are interested in becoming part of the Aquatots team as a Pool Assistant and think this would be an ideal role for you and your lifestyle then don’t hesitate to let us know.
